High on Life PS5 and PS4 trophy lists

The High on Life trophy lists for the PS5 and PS4 versions are identical. In fact, according to the lists that have appeared on Exophase, the only difference between the new trophy lists and the Xbox achievement lists is the addition of a Platinum trophy.

The vast majority of the trophy list are story-related trophies for obtaining weapons and defeating specific enemies. There are also collectibles to find and some missable side quests and optional tasks. The full list of 33 PS5 and PS4 trophies is below for those who don’t care about spoilers:

The appearance of the trophy lists confirms the rumor that started yesterday when a PS4 version of the game was discovered in a game update database. At the moment, High on Life is only available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. A horror-themed expansion for the game called High on Knife is also in the works.

How the Wayfinder early access Battle Pass works

The Wayfinder battle pass is called a Reward Tower. As is the case with other battle passes, there will be free and premium tracks, with each of the four Founder’s Packs giving varying degrees of access. As players gain XP, they’ll earn Reward Tower Keys that will unlock over 100 unique items over the different tower floors.

The main way the Reward Towers are different from conventional battle passes is that the premium track will never expire. Once a player has purchased the premium track, they can work on it at their own pace. There’s even the opportunity to gain progress on multiple premium tracks; only one can be active at any one time but players can switch freely between them. However, the free tracks will expire at the end of each season.

The Season 1 Reward Tower will have three tracks. The bronze Free Reward Tower offers 25 rewards and one of the components needed to summon the Venomess (the others can be earned through gameplay). The silver Paid Reward Tower gives access to all 100 rewards and all four components for the Venomess. Finally, the gold Premium Reward Tower offers all 100 rewards, instant access to the Venomess and her Nightshade signature weapon, and 20 Reward Tower Keys for a head start.

There will be four Founder’s Packs available at the start of the first season of early access. All will give players a Founders’ Flag Profile Background, Founder’s Glyph Pack, and “Wayfounder” Title and Profile Glyph. Here’s a list of the other bonuses players will get:

Blizzard will have a Campfire Chat about the Diablo 4 changes

Diablo 4 global community development director Adam Fletcher revealed the developer will be holding a Campfire Chat tomorrow, July 21, to “talk more” about the player feedback surrounding the class nerfs and other changes that were made in the Season 1 update. The chat will be held at 11 a.m. PT and will feature Fletcher, associate game director Joseph Piepiora, and designer Joe Shely.

The Diablo 4 Season 1 update, which was released on July 18, made a swath of changes in preparation for the start of Season of the Malignant. Of the class nerfs in the patch, the Barbarian Hammer of the Ancients, Druid Werewolf Shred, Necromancer Bone Spear, and Sorcerer Ice Shard were the skills that were hit the hardest. The reduction to the Barbarian skill in particular was felt to make a lot of the class’ endgame builds redundant.

Another of the controversial changes made was to introduce level requirements for World Tier III (level 40) and IV (level 60). A small update made today has now removed that requirement. The patch notes for update 1.1.0b also made it so Malignant Hearts always grant armor that directly maps with their item power.

In the meantime, the start of Season of the Malignant has come with its own issues. Blizzard has reported that players in the Americas have been facing “unusually long queue times” and has been working to get all players into the game as quickly as possible. Of course, long queues aren’t a new problem for the game and are something that should be expected at the launch of a new season.

What is the Disney Dreamlight Valley DreamSnaps Update Error?

The new error introduced with the Disney Dreamlight Valley DreamSnaps update is a Game Initialization Error (#201). This is preventing some players from opening the game after the latest update has been installed. The error is seemingly affecting players on all platforms, including those on PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The cause of the update is uncertain, but reports suggest that it seems to be a conflict with the game’s cloud saves. Several players on Reddit have claimed to have lost their local game saves due to the error. And since cloud saves are optional, users who have chosen to only save locally have lost days or weeks of progress.

The good news is that Gameloft is “aware of an issue preventing some players from loading in to the game after updating their client,” and it is “actively investigating a fix.” There had been no update about a fix at the time of writing, nor any indication as to whether affected players would be able to recover their save progress.

The DreamSnaps update has introduced a new villager, Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph. She comes with her own quests and house, as well as the brand-new DreamSnaps game feature. This is a new competitive game mode where players have to take photos relating to a variety of themed challenges and offers another opportunity to earn moonstones, the game’s premium currency. Activision was previously set to receive $3 billion if the Microsoft deal failed

The previous deadline for Microsoft and Activision Blizzard to complete their merger agreement was yesterday, July 18, 2023. In the previous agreement, if Microsoft had failed to close the merger by that date, Activision Blizzard was set to receive $3 billion in compensation.

Both Activision Blizzard and Microsoft remain confident the deal will be closed before the new deadline of October 18. However, in the unlikely event the deal is terminated before August 29, 2023, Activision Blizzard will still receive $3 billion compensation. If the deal is terminated between August 30 and September 15, the publisher will receive $3.5 billion. If the Microsoft deal is terminated after September 15, Activision Blizzard would be in line to receive $4.5 billion in compensation.

Microsoft is now technically free to close its deal in the United States following Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley’s ruling in favor of the company in its court case against the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). An FTC appeal was not successful and a gamers’ lawsuit against the proposed deal has also been thrown out of court. However, Microsoft still has to negotiate with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), which has blocked the deal in the United Kingdom.

The new agreement sees the deadline extended to October 18 so Microsoft can “continue to work with the CMA on the issues raised in the UK”, according to a statement from Microsoft president Brad Smith. The CMA has now extended its own deadline for its new investigation into the deal; this is August 29, although the aim is to reach an agreement before that date.

There are 16 games coming to PS5, while PS4 players get a slightly bigger choice of 20 new game releases. While there are no standout AAA games, the highlights are Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes – Definitive Edition, a remake of the 2011 PS3 game, and tactical historical sim NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening. Otherwise, some people may be lucky enough to take part in the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test instead, which is due to start on July 21. Registration for the beta has already closed, though.

How does the Assassin’s Creed Mirage haptic feedback suit work?

The system works by attaching 20 gel pads to the haptic game system “skin” shirt. These will send sensations to 10 different areas of the upper body, including the arms. These are then calibrated using the mobile companion app where players can also customize the intensity of each sensation.

As well as the previously mentioned impacts and parkour, the system will let players feel Basim’s movements as he takes down targets. However, it will also created a stabbing sensation in the wearer when he is wounded. OWO noted that it will have “exclusive sensations never felt before,” too.

OWO’s current system offers sensations like being shot (with or without an exit wound), light and severe abdominal wounds, punches, dagger wounds, lifting weights, pushing objects, collision, free fall, the wind, and even insect bites. The company hasn’t mentioned whether the “exclusive sensations” includes the sensation of breaking your back when Basim falls off a roof.

The Assassin’s Creed Mirage OWO haptic feedback system will come with a digital copy of the game. Players can get the system in nine different sizes ranging from 2XS to 4XL. A price for the bundle has not been revealed, but the standard shirt is available for €499. At first, the bundle will only be available through the OWO website, but it will be available through other retailers at a later date. The release date for the bundle is also unknown, although Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming out on October 12.

There are a handful of games that natively support OWO and a few that require mods. Some of these titles include Half-Life Alyx, Superhot, Halo Infinite, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Valorant.

Diablo 4 was nearly the best-selling game on PS5 and PS4 on both charts

According to Sony’s chart, Diablo 4 was the best-selling PS5 game on PSN in both the United States and Canada (which are paired together) and Europe during June 2023. While it was also the best-selling game on PS4 in the U.S. and Canada, it didn’t quite manage a clean sweep. The game only managed to get third place on PS4 in Europe behind Minecraft and FIFA 23. This doesn’t come as much of a surprise bearing in mind it made $600 million in its first five days of release.

Final Fantasy 16 came in a solid second place on PS5 in both regions. The game wasn’t released on PS4. However, this is a high performance since the game released on June 22 and only had nine days to claim its spot. FF16 has since become the fastest-selling PS5 exclusive. On the contrary, Diablo 4 had more than three weeks to notch up its sales after it was released on June 5.

Other new games to enter the top PS5 downloads chart include Street Fighter 6 (#3 in U.S./Canada, #6 in Europe) and AEW: Fight Forever (#12 in U.S./Canada). The former also made an appearance at #11 on the PS4 chart for U.S./Canada, but neither managed to chart in Europe.

Elsewhere, Beat Saber continues to dominate the new PSVR2 chart, although it is replaced by Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition on the original PSVR headset. Fortnite, unsurprisingly, remains the most popular free-to-play game on PS5 and PS4.

But there is good news. A closed beta is coming soon, and will let players get their hands on the game this year — albeit for a limited time.

The new Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown release date

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is now set to be released in early 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This isn’t the first time the game has been delayed after it was originally due to be released in September 2022. At the same time as the first delay, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were also canceled.

The delay doesn’t come as much of a surprise bearing in mind that developer Kylotonn is currently on strike due to a dispute over funding from parent company Nacon. In a press release first published on Le Syndicat des Travailleurs et Travailleuses du Jeu Vidéo, other aspects of the dispute include a work-from-home policy, minimum wage negotiations, and allegations of a “pathogenic and authoritarian management style that threatens workers’ mental health and cohesion.”

For now, game development is seemingly halted while the strike takes place. Despite this, TDU: Solar Crown will be getting a closed beta that begins on July 24. The beta will last for three days. Players who are interested in taking part will eventually be able to sign up on the official website, although registration hasn’t opened up yet.

The 30-minute showcase also demonstrated plenty of gameplay. There was a focus on the game’s social elements which include integrated voice chat, co-op missions and races, the Solar Hotel social hub, and customizable avatars. There was also plenty of footage of the 1:1 scale recreation of Hong Kong Island.
